Ring up customers in seconds
Scan a barcode with a camera or a USB or Bluetooth scanner, or search by name. Take cash, mobile money or a mix of both on one sale, and print an 80mm or 58mm receipt, or send the receipt to the customer by SMS.
Know what is on the shelf
Every sale, return and transfer is written to a stock ledger, so quantity on hand is always explainable. Set reorder levels and see what is running low before the shelf is empty. Count stock with a stock take and let the system record the differences.
Pack sizes and credit customers
Sell a strip, a box or a carton from the same product with units of measure and pack sizes. Keep a book for regular customers who pay later, and see who owes what.
Several branches, one view
Each branch and warehouse has its own stock. Move stock between them with a trail, and see sales by branch, cashier and payment method.
Common questions
Can a pharmacy use Akoma POS?
Yes. It handles barcode checkout, stock per branch, pack sizes, credit customers and receipts, which is what most pharmacies and chemical shops need at the counter. It does not currently track batch or expiry dates, so keep your expiry checks in your normal routine.
Do I need special hardware?
No. Akoma runs in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or laptop. A thermal receipt printer (80mm or 58mm) and a barcode scanner are optional.
How much does it cost?
One plan, billed every three months in Ghana cedis, with no transaction fees and no share of your sales. See the pricing page for the current amount.
